Q. Is Orchard Glen a nursing home?
A. Orchard Glen is an independent living community where self-sufficient seniors are free to come and go as they please. And while we do offer 24-hour front desk assistance, no medical care is provided on-campus.
Q. What is the length of commitment?
A. There is no long-term commitment. All rent is on a month-to-month basis. A 30-day notice is required before a resident can move out, unless there is a specific change in the resident's health that requires a more intense medical regiment.
Q. How do you pay?
A. Residents or families generally pay the cost of independent living from their own financial resources.
Q. Are residents allowed to have pets?
A. Because we value the connection people have with animals, we invite you to have your small pet live with you at our community.
Q. May I decorate my place?
A. Yes, your apartment or patio home is yours to decorate and furnish as you please.
Q. May I have friends come and visit?
A. Friends and family are always welcome. And we encourage residents to use one of the many common areas for celebrations or gatherings.
